Sunflower Oil Portfolio & Technical Specifications

Refined sunflower oil is a high-quality oil with acidity ≤ 0.05% as oleic acid, a peroxide value held at ≤ 10 meq O₂/kg, Lovibond colour values of 20 Y + 2.0 R and a smoke point of around 230°C. Beyond household use it suits applications such as food production, frying and margarine manufacturing. Its neutral taste, high stability and long shelf life give it a broad field of use.

High oleic sunflower oil has an oleic acid content of ≥ 80% with saturated fat held at ≤ 10%. Its superior resistance to thermal oxidation makes it ideal for high-temperature processes such as industrial frying, fast food production and snack manufacturing. The product is offered in packaging options including 5 L tins, 18 L drums, 1,000 L IBC tanks and bulk tankers.

Crude sunflower oil is produced with free fatty acids ≤ 2% and moisture and volatile matter ≤ 0.2%. Being unrefined, it is particularly suited to industrial processes and is used as refinery feedstock in both export and domestic market supply.

Among the technical specifications, free fatty acid (FFA) content is ≤ 0.05% per ISO 660, a key quality indicator. The peroxide value is determined by ISO 3960 and held at ≤ 10 meq O₂/kg. Colour, measured by the Lovibond method per AOCS Cc 13e-92, is 20Y + 2R, indicating the product's visual purity. Density at 20°C runs in the 0.918–0.922 g/cm³ range per ISO 6883. A smoke point of about 230°C shows the product's high thermal resistance, while the fatty acid profile determined by GC analysis measures linoleic acid at 55–65% and oleic acid at 25–80%. The product offers a 24-month shelf life at room conditions, ensuring long-term stability.

Certified, non-GMO sunflower seeds are used as raw material, and the refining stages consist of degumming to remove phospholipids, neutralisation with NaOH to strip free fatty acids, bleaching with activated clay to lighten colour, and finally vacuum deodorisation to eliminate unwanted odours. A subsequent filtration stage removes sub-micron particles completely, increasing the oil's purity. Every production batch is quality-control tested for FFA, peroxide, colour and odour parameters, and ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, Halal and Kosher certifications are applied across the production system.

Packaging options include PET bottles from 1 L to 5 L for the retail segment, available with different brand and design alternatives, and 5 L tins for the HORECA sector offering long shelf life and easy storage. For industrial use, 18 L metal drums serve the restaurant and catering sectors, while 1,000 L IBC tanks are preferred for high-volume export operations. Bulk tanker shipments for the refinery and general industry segment deliver logistics efficiency at high volumes.

Under our sustainability and quality approach, the oils used in production come entirely from non-GMO seeds, and recyclable packaging systems are preferred to reduce environmental impact. Refineries run low-carbon production processes using energy-efficient technologies. With a fully traceable supply chain, every stage from seed to filling is kept under control, guaranteeing both food safety and a sustainable quality standard.
