Fly Ash Product Portfolio and Specifications

Class F Fly Ash (Low Calcium)

Class F fly ash is a bituminous (anthracite) coal combustion product and provides high sulfate and chemical resistance thanks to its low CaO (<10%) content. Thanks to these features, it is widely used in projects that require long-lasting strength such as infrastructure, bridges, dams and marine structures. It is positioned as a reliable mineral additive in the cement and concrete industry with its compliance with ASTM C618 and EN 450-1 standards.

Class C Fly Ash (High Calcium)

Class C fly ash has strong binding properties with its high calcium content structure formed as a result of lignite coal combustion and can be used as a direct additive or partial substitute to cement. It is preferred in road construction, ground stabilization and precast concrete applications thanks to its high early strength and fast hydration properties. This type provides efficiency in engineering projects by offering the advantage of increased mechanical performance and fast curing.

Areas of Use

Fly ash is substituted at a rate of 15-35% in Portland cement production, making significant contributions to both strength and sustainability; when used as a concrete admixture, it improves workability, improves durability, and reduces the risk of thermal cracking by reducing the heat of hydration. While increasing the bearing capacity of clayey soils in soil stabilization, it increases water impermeability and provides long-lasting strength in prefabricated elements and infrastructure projects. In filling and geotechnical applications, it offers cost efficiency with the advantage of light material.

Supply and Logistics

Fly ash supply is provided from thermal power plants in Europe, Turkey, India and the Middle East, and shipments can be made with bulk or big-bag packaging options according to fob, CIF or DDP delivery modes. The products are stored in special silos with moisture control and shipped by closed container transportation; quality assurance is offered with EN 450-1, ASTM C618, ISO 9001 and related environmental management certificates. Regular container or bulk cargo exits from Mediterranean, Black Sea and Aegean ports are possible and logistics processes are managed in accordance with international standards.

Sustainability and Environmental Contribution

The use of fly ash contributes to the reduction of the carbon footprint by enabling the reuse of industrial waste. Reducing the clinker ratio in cement production reduces CO₂ emissions, while the emergence of more durable and long-lasting building materials reduces life cycle costs. With these properties, fly ash plays an important role in sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
